Erin (she/her) is a lifelong dog enthusiast from Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. Erin is a Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer, a Licensed Family Dog Mediator, and a Certified Cani-Fit Leader. Erin is the co-founder of National Dog Sports- a multi-sport Canadian-based competition league.  She breeds Labrador Retrievers with a performance focus under the Eromit kennel name and spends most of her waking hours exploring the art and science of how dogs move, learn, play and connect with their people and the world around them. 

Erin’s journey in dog sports began as a junior handler, first in obedience and then more seriously when her family took up dog sled racing. She spent ten years as a competitive sprint racer specializing in 4 and 6 dog classes with both Labrador Retriever and Alaskan Husky sled dogs. During her university years, where she studied Biology and Animal Science, Erin fostered a variety of breeds and mixes through her local shelter- also working as an adoption counsellor and animal care attendant. There's no substitute for hands-on experience with a range of dogs from a wide-variety of backgrounds! 

Since then, Erin has earned championships in agility, earned high in trials in obedience, perfect scores in rally, a multitude of titles in scent-based sports and has both won nationals and set records with a variety of dogs in dock diving and sled dog racing.  But dog sports- or the results- are never the end goal for her; rather, they are simply one potential path to building confidence, fitness and connection throughout a dog's life. More than anything, Erin treasures her senior dogs, and every choice she makes in training and competition from puppyhood onward  is guided by the hope of keeping those golden years strong, playful and joyful. 

Currently, Erin shares her life with a lively crew of Labradors ranging in age from 4 months to 15 years, her wild and wonderful beagle Leroy, one cat and a couple dozen sheep. In the summer months, she hosts competitions and teaches in-person classes and seminars at her home facility (named Eromit AIRcademy) for dock diving, agility, and shed antler training. During the rest of the year, Erin coaches primarily online, develops programming for National Dog Sports,  and wrangles Labrador puppies! Her teaching style is described as warm and supportive and she enjoys helping teams find the connection that propels them towards a happier life together.
