Course Details
We've got a new twist on whistle sit and casting training. It used to take a million reps and lots of non reward markers. That gets boring fast for most dogs. And for you.
In this class, we've got fun games that combine the two skills and make a big impact on your dog's performance in the field. Most of these games can be started in your living room and played during a normal off leash walk in a field or school yard.
Beginner? We've got you covered!
Intermediate? Get ready to level up!
We have games to build your foundation and games to help you advance your skills. If you're just getting started, we'll help you install your whistle sit and teach each cast direction. If you have the basics in place we help you combine your whistles and casts into bigger challenges.
In every game, we will:
- Install the Skill
- Build fun into the skill
- Test or Proof the Skill
Want to know what the games are like? Most of the Intermediate games only need two bumpers and a whistle. Most of them you can play on the fly, in short sessions or interspersed during a normal walk. It's easy to make them easy or different levels of hard. That's what makes them so fun and impactful!
Most beginner games start inside with food bowls, targets or bumpers. They help your dog learn the basics and quickly combine skills together into mini performances.
Ditch the old boring stuff and enter the world of more fun ways to build handling skills!
How the games will roll out:
Each week, there will be two levels of games available. One for the beginners and one level for Intermediates.
No matter what level you are, you will have something fun and challenging to do.
Teaching Approach:
Each Game or lesson will have a video demonstration and some written instructions.
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate, I will meet you where you are and help you level up.
If you're a beginner, you'll follow the beginner lessons in order. You will have all the intermediate games to try when you are ready.
If you are intermediate, you can start with a skills check to feel good about your foundations, then get started with the games!
