| Does one of your dogs guard toys, sleeping spots, or even you from your other dogs? Dog-to-dog resource guarding is extremely common — and it's addressed very differently than when dogs guard from people. We use an operant approach that teaches dogs concrete skills for avoiding conflict, while we simultaneously change how they feel about another dog approaching.This workshop builds the foundation skills that apply to any dog-to-dog guarding scenario. We start by identifying which dog actually needs the training — it isn't always the one you'd expect. From there we cover management and safety, then break the skills down into a clear training progression you can start on right away. |
