A3004: Crossing with Confidence

Course Details

3 WEEK CLASS - Crossing with Confidence

Take your handling skills to the next level in this focused three-week agility class dedicated to three essential crosses:

  • Front Cross
  • Rear Cross
  • Blind Cross.

Each week, we will break down one handling technique. For each technique we will cover proper timing, handling elements, and cue execution to help you communicate more clearly with your dog. Through progressive exercises from flatwork up to a bonus short sequence, teams will learn when and how to use each cross for smoother, more efficient course navigation. With the exception of the bonus short sequence all work can be done with one jump and a few objects (these can be cones, wings, garbage cans, basically any upright object will do).  Two jumps is fabulous but not needed!  Bonus sequence may include a tunnel but can be broken down or modified for use without.

Our main focus areas:

  • Handler mechanics and timing
  • Choosing the right cross for your team
  • Building confidence and flow on course

This class is ideal for teams with basic obstacle skills looking to develop a better understanding of crosses and for those teams wanting to focus in and finesse the smaller details of their crosses.

Whether you are preparing for competition or simply looking to improve teamwork and communication, this class is designed to help you handle crosses with greater confidence and clarity!
