Course Details
The environment is filled with a myriad of fascinating sights, sounds and smells. Why would the dog choose us? If we tell the dog to ignore the environment and look at us, it often creates conflict and pressure. What the dog wants is not aligning with what you want. How do we get the dog to WANT to choose us? When it’s the dog’s decision, conflict goes away and the dog feels empowered. Once the dog chooses you, the environment ceases to exist. In this workshop we will look at a variety of techniques you can use to teach your dog to pick you. Whether you’re just beginning your training journey or looking to take your dog’s engagement to the next level, this course is for you. The material in this course can be applied to all performance sports.
