Course Details
Fronts are complicated enough. Adding a retrieve object, distance, speed and angles results in an increased number of errors. If we don’t handle fronts correctly, our dogs can develop mouthing issues, slow returns, and inaccurate fronts. The key is clear communication which minimizes errors and stress. In this workshop we will break the behaviors down for clarity. I will teach you motivational games to maintain speed and enthusiasm. We will look at proofing as a method to strengthen our dogs understanding of and commitment to fronts with a retrieve object. At the end of this workshop, you will have a variety of tools to teach your dog fronts with retrieve objects that are motivating and accurate.

I have been training and competing for several decades in a variety of sports including Hunt Tests, Field Trials, Nosework, Agility and Rally. My first love has always been competition obedience. I have been fortunate to win the AKC National Obedience Championship four times with three different dogs. (Click here for full bio and to view Petra's upcoming courses)
