Growing Up FDSA - Free Ebook

Course Details

Does your dog perform beautifully in training but fall apart when something unexpected happens in the ring? Have you ever wondered how to prepare your dog for distractions and challenges without creating stress or damaging confidence?

For many trainers, "proofing" means setting dogs up to fail and correcting mistakes. Unfortunately, this approach often creates uncertainty, adds pressure to the exercises, and leaves dogs worried about getting it wrong. But proofing doesn't have to feel that way.

In this workshop, Petra will show you how to transform proofing into a positive, confidence-building experience. Using her precise yet fun approach, you'll learn how to break difficult challenges into achievable pieces so your dog develops understanding, resilience, and enthusiasm for solving problems.

Instead of fearing distractions, your dog will learn that challenges are simply another opportunity to succeed.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to:

  • Break proofing exercises into manageable, confidence-building steps.
  • Turn common obedience challenges into engaging games your dog enjoys.
  • Build your dog's understanding and commitment to each exercise without adding unnecessary pressure.
  • Create a dog that approaches distractions with confidence rather than hesitation.
  • Develop thoughtful proofing plans that prepare your dog for the unpredictable challenges of the competition ring.

When proofing becomes a game instead of a test, dogs become more confident, more engaged, and better prepared for competition. Join Petra to discover how positive proofing creates a dog that not only understands the exercises but genuinely enjoys overcoming every challenge.
