Course Details
This class teaches control and handler focus suitable for a variety of dog sports. Using structured games, handlers will work on impulse control, focus, and responsiveness in the presence of distractions.
The emphasis is on building control concepts rather than isolated behaviors. Exercises are introduced as simple games and then developed into skills that can be applied to common sport situations, such as:
Start line stays
Maintaining engagement in stimulating environments
Reducing over-arousal or distraction-related errors
Improving consistency in familiar behaviors
The goal is to help dogs make more deliberate choices and stay connected to the handler, regardless of the sport.
