3 WEEK CLASS - With a single word, you can stop escalation, shift emotion, and remove your dog(s) from a risky scenario.
Many owners have seen or even used the old “shaker can” method: a noisy can meant to scare a dog into stopping a behavior. While it may interrupt behavior in the moment, it does so by creating fear, tension, and unpredictability—and often makes arousal, reactivity, or conflict worse over time. If you are NOT familiar with that old-school technique, count yourself and your dog to be the lucky ones!
The Remote Positive Interrupter (RPI) is a powerful, humane tool for interrupting arousal, preventing conflict between dogs, and calling a dog away from danger—without punishment, without panic, and without suppressing behavior.
Your dog learns that one special word means: “Stop what you’re doing and run with me to our designated spot for a treat.” This predictable pattern changes emotional state, prevents escalation, and builds trust. Instead of fear, we use predictability, joy, and emotional regulation. Instead of suppression, we teach a replacement pattern. Instead of startling the dog, we build trust and cooperation.
Dogs don’t escalate because they’re “bad”—they escalate because they’re emotional. The RPI gives you a way to interrupt arousal before it becomes conflict, redirect fixation before it becomes a problem, and call your dog away from danger without damaging your relationship.
This class is ideal for:
- Multidog households
- Dogs who escalate quickly in play
- Dogs who fixate on toys, wildlife, or environmental triggers
- Dogs who struggle to disengage once excited
- Owners who want a kind, reliable, reallife interruption cue
