I’m excited about this webinar, where we’ll dive into the challenges of blank searches in dog training. If you’ve ever struggled to call finish when there are no hides—or even doubted how to train effectively for these situations—you’re not alone, and this webinar is here to help.
During the session, I’ll share insights on how to spot and understand the subtle changes in behavior that dogs show when working in blank environments. We’ll explore real-life examples together, breaking them down to help you better SEE what your dog might do in these types of searches. I’m excited to have great video examples of the same dogs working a series of searches either blank or with odor present. We also will walk through ways to set up blank searches at home, giving you practical tools to build your confidence and improve your dog’s skills. Part of this training will be for your dog’s confidence, but also to build a nice foundation on how to call finish and when to call it at home vs. in trial.
