In force-free Predation Substitute Training, focus and engagement with the owner is the key to success!
If you have a dog that loves to chase wildlife and is too excited to stay in touch with you outside, this workshop is for you because dog that has no time to look back at you, will never have time to come to you when you call them away from a running deer!
In this workshop we are going to lay the foundation that is crucial if you want to keep your dog from chasing wildlife.
With the help of one particular Predation Substitute Game and its variations we are going to teach your dog that staying in contact with you on your walks is fun and pays off.
You don't need to be familiar with the Predation Substitute Training program yet as we cover some basic games and exercises that you can build on.
However, your dog needs to be able to take food outside. Not necessarily in the presence of wildlife, but in "normal" situations. If that is not the case, you need to go one step back and teach this skill to your dog first. A good source to start with is Simone's book "Hunting Together".
