Growing Up FDSA - Free Ebook

Course Details

Your dog is sound sensitive! Oh no!

Whether that's to fireworks and thunderstorms, or the whistling, beeping and slamming of the sports environment, or the sounds of urban life and all the people and dogs in it, there's definitely a way through it!

Sound sensitivity is a common issue in dogs, and it can show up in puppyhood, adolescence, and it can even develop late in life, with our older dogs suddenly becoming fearful where they were steady before! Fear of sounds can limit almost every aspect of a dog's life, and it can be hard to know what to do to help them.

You've likely heard you should be "counter conditioning" the sound, but maybe you're not sure how, or you've tried and nothing seems to stick. Maybe your dog won't even take treats once they're scared!

The most important thing to know is that if you want change in emotion -- turning that fear into happiness -- you need really valuable, exciting, fun activities, and that's where we start: the noise party!

In this workshop, I'll teach you my specific framework for giving new meaning to sounds, and how to test it every step of the way. You'll get to develop your noise party, get it on a unique verbal cue, teach the reorienting gasp, and then you're set to help your dog no matter what sound happened. Come learn how to back-chain each of the elements you need, and show your dog that noises are something to party about!
