Many owners feel a sense of dread when it comes to hip health, believing that genetics are
destiny. But the truth is, you have incredible power to influence your dog’s comfort and
longevity. Whether you are raising a performance puppy or supporting a senior dog with arthritis,
the right knowledge and movement can drastically improve their functional ability and slow
down joint deterioration.
Join me for a deep dive into the canine hip joint. We will move past the myths and focus on the
science of keeping your dog strong, mobile, and active.
In this workshop, we will cover:
- The Biology of the Hip: Understanding the mechanics, primary functions, and how the joint actually works.
- Developmental Factors: The surprising truth about what impacts hip health, from birth surfaces to exercise protocols.
- Assessment & Conditions: How to test different aspects of hip function and understand common issues like Hip Dysplasia and Osteoarthritis.
- Functional Fitness: A step-by-step look at exercises designed for strengthening, stability, and mobility specifically for the rear end.

This workshop is designed for any owner or professional who wants to advocate for a dog's long-term mobility.
It is especially appropriate for:
- Young Dogs: Building a foundation to protect and maintain joint function.
- Senior Dogs: Maintaining essential rear-end strength to preserve independence.
- Dogs with Mild/Moderate Hip Dysplasia or OA: Learning how the right exercise can improve their quality of life (with vet approval for exercise).
