Dog Behavior and Electives

If you want to have a better understanding of dogs and how they learn, these classes will help you reach that goal, regardless of your final competitive interests.

The purpose of this course is not to come to a conclusion about what is right or wrong in any given dog training circumstance. Rather, the purpose is to reveal and examine competing interests, identify stakeholders, and help to navigate the challenging gray areas (each one for him or herself). Deliberate thinking about ethics can help us solidify and articulate the reasons we believe some act to be right or wrong, and why we choose one course of action over another.

By the end of this course, we hope that you'll have a better understanding of your own values in relation to your dog training interests, and how you may wish to apply those values to your dog training decisions.
