Joshua Beckler
Josh Beckler is the founder of K9 Optima and a dog behavior professional specializing in reactivity, aggression, and complex behavior. His work is rooted in assessment and an integrative approach that draws from behavioral science, nervous system regulation, sensory processing, and the practical realities of working with dogs and the people responsible for them.
Having worked extensively with pet owners, trainers, rescues, and shelter organizations, Josh brings a broad perspective to conversations about behavior, welfare, professional practice, and the evolving dog training industry. As a facilitator, he is particularly interested in creating space for curiosity, productive disagreement, and open-minded discussion across differing methodologies and professional backgrounds.
His approach to facilitation reflects the same philosophy that guides his work with dogs: observe before assuming, remain curious about what you don’t yet understand, and resist reducing complicated problems to simple answers.
