3 WEEK CLASS - One behavior, two behavior, three behavior, more! Do you ever feel over-whelmed with all there is to train? Do you love to get new behaviors started but struggle with follow through and completing the process? Or maybe you just aren’t sure how to finish all those behaviors you’ve started! You are not alone!
The acquisition phase is often the most fun. The thrill of those first few successful sessions is what we all live for!
This course is a shortened version of my 6 wk "Mission Accomplished" course. I will guide you through the process of finishing out the behaviors you’ve started, help you get past the rough spots, keep you accountable, ensure that what you start you can finish, and celebrate with you as you shout “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”!
This “handler’s choice” will also explore what motivates the handler, handler mechanics, criteria shifts, adding the cue and behavior maintenance. My goal is that each handler will have at least one previously started behavior completed by the end of the course and have a real sense of accomplishment as well as a structured framework for tackling other behaviors.

Teaching Approach:
For those of you that have taken my classes before, you may find that this one is laid out a little differently. My norm is to post lectures with specific exercises each week. Because this course involves a lot of handler's choice skills, the exercises, when I have them, are specific to each team. While it looks like there are a lot of lectures, they are short, general and for the benefit of all teams, no matter what behavior you are working on, and will cover why, in our "real life" we may not complete the skills or tasks we started and ways to over-come that.
The lectures won't be laid out in a week by week format as in my other classes. Instead, they will be released all at once at the start of the class. The lectures are in an order that I think makes sense. I hope they encourage you to start some practices that will keep you motivated and moving through the process not only for the behaviors you have chosen for this class but for all of the other behaviors in your and your dog's future!
I know many of you are here to complete specific skills, and that, we will do! I can't wait to coach you through some of the sticking points that are preventing you from accomplishing your goal behaviors!
