About the Presenter:
Dr. David Lane is one of approximately 100 veterinarians in the world to have earned specialty status in the field of canine sports medicine and rehabilitation therapy. His research on the clinical effectiveness of combining chiropractic techniques with acupuncture therapy in dogs is the first of its kind. Current research projects include documenting his success using stem cells to repair partially torn tendons, and on the link between urinary incontinence and lower back pain. He has written numerous research papers on the topics of shoulder pathology and back pain, and has authored or co-authored textbook chapters on forelimb & hindlimb lameness, back pain diagnosis, and OA treatment.
His work with sporting dogs has brought him to numerous regional and national events, as well as travelling with the national team to the World Agility Championships in Spain and the Netherlands.
He is married to Lauren Fraser, a clinical animal behaviourist who works with cats, dogs, and horses experiencing behaviour problems. In his spare time he can be found skiing, mountain biking, white water kayaking, or recovering in the hot tub afterward.
