Mabel's Canadian Nosework Debut was created by Janet Parker
Mabel (NW2), finally got a chance to trial in Canada, under Canadian Nosework rules. She passed all three of her Started elements (Container, Interior & Vehicles) achieving her Started-SP title. She placed First in Interiors (and was one of only 2 dogs to pass the Interior element); and she placed First Overall! She then went on to pass her Advanced Container element.
Mabel started with a pairing method and we trained for months with that method with very little success. I found Denise and Margaret at Agility-U (before FDSA) and Mabel's odor obedience was saved! We then went on to do just about nosework course FDSA has to offer.
And BTW, Mabel is disabled and has been since birth, but that doesn't seem to stop odor obedience!
